A WORD ON OUR DECOR

Fully renovated at the beginning of 2008 by Michel Jouannet, an architect and interior decorator, the Hotel Le Chaplain Paris Rive Gauche offers a distinctively modern style. A combination of strong colours and dark wood lends outstanding originality to its design, accompanied by contemporary artwork displayed throughout the hotel.

In each room, works created by the painter Fabienne Santrot De Courrière* using the grisaille technique emphasizes the hotel’s philosophy, "the smile”. Internationally recognised smiles emphasise the hotel’s unique, sophisticated atmosphere, encouraging guests to return to the Hotel Le Chaplain Paris Rive Gauche in the near future!

*After studying art history, Fabienne Santrot De Courrière initially practiced with patinas then discovered the grisaille technique, paintings that incorporate shadow and light often through the use of muted shades. The core of De Courrière’s grisaille work arises through orders placed by interior decorators and individuals, but the artist also works with London and California dealers which sell the grisailles on canvass.
